Department of Sculptural Design presents itself at the Art Route of Aachen 2012

For fifteen years, the Art Route - an initiative of the Aachen art institutions for the promotion of contemporary visual arts - has been part of the cultural life in the City of Aachen. Be it museums or art societies of international standing, be it galleries or artist associations representing the vibrant local art scene, the Art Route of Aachen invites you to discover and takes you on a journey of exploration through Aachen's art world. Locus Solus "Secret Places" is the title of the student exibits presented by the Department of Sculptural Design of the Faculty of Architecture.

As part of the Department of Sculptural Design's contribution to the Art Route, the 12 m tall tire "Hinkelstein" ("Menhir"), which was built by students in 2011, will be inflated as a walk-in experimental building on the forecourt of the SuperC on 29th and 30th September.
