First and third prize for RWTH-students
RWTH Master students Tobias Schröders and Wiebke Steen won first prize for their M1-Project (Department of Urban Design and Regional Planning/Department of Structures and Structural Design) and Joanna Kovacheva and Maria Shadrova won third prize out of a total of 14 works submitted by German and Chinese Universities in the International Hebel Student Competition 2014/15.
The competition was sponsored by Xella Aircrete Systems in cooperation with Deutsche Post DHL and the City of Aachen. Under the title "LogCity - Key of Europe" it was aimed at the development of innovative ideas in the fields of urban planning and architecture for the German-Dutch commercial area Avantis. The focus was on buildings for logistics and innovation.
The competition area Avantis spans both sides of the Dutch-German border. The jury explicitly praised the high standard of the prize-winning designs.
Congratulations!
