Chair for Individualized Production in Architecture
The Chair for Individualized Production in Architecture researches solutions for the construction site of the future in a collaborative area between architecture, engineering and computer science. The focus of the work is the development of design and manufacturing methods that make automation accessible to architecture and construction industries.
An interdisciplinary team develops innovative construction machines and software systems for human-machine collaboration, adaptive production and parametric design of construction processes. Current industrial robots and mobile platforms are available for these developments.
The chair pursues this topic together with researchers from adjacent RWTH faculties and national and international partners from industry and research.
A university degree (Master or comparable) in computer science is a prerequisite for employment. We are looking for an engaged personality who can independently research innovative solutions in an interdisciplinary environment and implement them in software.

- Software Design Pattern & Development of UI
- Software development (e.g. C#, Python)
- Operations Research and Intelligent Systems
- Project management and control of software development projects
- Experience in software documentation and version control
- Knowledge of industrial robotics and the use and expansion of CAD and simulation systems is an advantage
Research into concepts for the introduction of robotics on the construction site and development of software systems for the interdisciplinary exchange of complex data in construction planning and execution.
