Architectural criticism
In the coming winter semester, the Department of Architectural Theory and Research will continue the lecture and discussion series "Montagabendgespräche", which for more than four decades has stimulated reflection on current issues in architecture.
Within the framework of this year's lecture series, we invite internationally renowned architecture critics. Together with our guests, we would like to explore the tasks and formats of criticism and, above all, take a close look at those highly inflammatory disputes that trigger debates that extend far beyond the boundaries of the discipline. The composition of the series takes into account both the methodological diversity of "critical business," that of ideological positions, and that of the media in which criticism is articulated.
This year's lecture series is being held for the first time in cooperation with the interdisciplinary project "Leonardo" at RWTH Aachen University.
