Aachen 2040+ scenarios by students from the Chair of Urban Design at RWTH Aachen University in the OecherLab


From January 11 to February 19, 2022, the exhibition "Visions for the City of the Future... What if" will be held at the OecherLab. The exhibition is dedicated to future scenarios by students of the Chair of Urban Design at RWTH Aachen University who are looking at Aachen in 2040+. The focus is on projects that deal with sustainable, resource-saving and demand-oriented ideas for liveable urban spaces. In addition, topics such as mobility, production and trade, energy and resources will be examined from an urban planning perspective and show a small sample of the diverse challenges and tasks that future urban planners and architects will face in their exchange with urban society.
