Christian Huayna Avila // CAMPUS Transfer: Competence center transfer of the agriculture and food industry in Erkelenz
–
Perspective Facade
The "CAMPUS Transfer Center" project is located in the industrial and commercial area in Erkelenz to promote research, education and communication in the agricultu-ral and food industry. For this purpose, a facility was developed that consists of four building blocks: communication and education, canteen of the future, startup work-shop, and housing area. The facilities are arranged around a central park for visitors to have fun and various exhibitions for common agricultural activities and recreation for different target groups: families, researchers, workers and employers, where these different areas integrate and interact. Startup's research area and laboratory area will be joined with an agriculture area for testing. tied together. An axis through the project as well as a 6.0 x 6.0 meter grid is used as a principle of order. The structure of metal, columns, walls, glass facade and floor texture is built over the grid. This is how the steel skeleton of the project is de-fined. The main façade consists of the communication and canteen building blocks, which are defined as the head building on a forecourt. The entrance arises between these two.
