Online applications Starting this semester, the application process will take place online. If you want to apply, you must first register on the applicant portal for study abroad stays.

Application phase for the academic year 2023/2024

If you plan to go abroad in the academic year 2022/2023, you must apply online during the period 01.01.2023 (0:00 am) - 31.01.2022 (12:00 pm). This also applies if you plan to go abroad only in the summer semester 2022.

OLA (Online Learning Agreement)

Starting with the academic year 2021/22, Learning Agreements will only be completed and submitted via the online platform https://www.learning-agreement.eu. Further help on the OLA can be found here

 

Fahrplan Study Abroad

The ERASMUS PLUS Fahrplan accompanies you from the application phase to your return from your stay abroad.
You can check which documents you have to submit during the application phase, during your stay abroad and after completing your studies abroad.

Application phase

The application phase for the academic year 2023/24 is 01.01.2023 - 31.01.2023

You need the following documents for your application:

Certificate of Study

Certificate of your previous course of study. This document can be found at the RWTH online under "Bescheinigungen".

curriculum vitae in german or english with photo
(1x, 1 page)

A curriculum vitae with photo is required for your application.

Transcript of Records
(1x print of RWTHonline)

Current grades + bachelor's certificate if you are studying in the 1st master's semester. For the application at the faculty a printout from RWTH online is sufficient.
The ZPA (Zentrale Prüfungsamt) can provide you at any time with a certificate of your achievements to date - on request also in English. You may need this later for the application at the host university.

Language Certificate
(Original, not older than 1 year!)

Proof of knowledge of the language of instruction.

For a stay abroad within the framework of ERASMUS PLUS you have to prove at least one B1/B2 level, see Europäischer Referenzrahmen.
The Sprachenzentrum will be notified of your participation in the Erasmus programme. You will then be granted a right of first refusal for language courses (with the exception of English courses). You must register for a language course via the Language Centre user account.

For language examinations and placement tests, please contact the . Proof of the required language level in the language of instruction must be provided by the start of the scholarship at the latest.

Voluntary certificates

Voluntary evidence, extracurricular commitment (BeBuddy, etc.)

Please hand in all documents typewritten and, where necessary, signed. Handwritten documents will be rejected. The application will only be accepted completely and within the application deadline.

In the REIFF International Office you can view current reports on REIFF Outgoings during opening hours.

Before the stay abroad

These documents are additionally required for your exchange:

OLA (Online Learning Agreement)

The Learning Agreement serves to document your planned study visit. The National Allocation Office stipulates 30 credits per semester. If you receive less than 15 credits per semester, the study grant must be repaid.

Starting with the academic year 2021/22, Learning Agreements will only be completed and submitted via the online platform https://www.learning-agreement.eu. Further help on the new portal can be found here

Important for an automatic transmission is the correct indication of the data of the coordinators of the home and exchange university. For the REIFF International Office applies:

Antrag auf den Zusatz "International Honors" If you are expected to provide 54 or more ECTS abroad, of which at least 24 ETCS are not integratively accredited, you can apply for the addition "with international honors". The application is voluntary, but must be made before the stay abroad.

Selection Criteria

Professional competence
Current language level
Commitment and personal competence (contribution to the social community, e.g. honorary posts, openness, initiative)
Motivation (conclusiveness of application and foreign study project)
Preparation (preparation already carried out, further preparation, structuring of the planned measures)
Study projects abroad with a view to subsequent recognition at REIFF as an integral part of the study programme
Study projects abroad with regard to the recognition of additional services in the foreign module







 

Abroad

Change Form

The Change Form manual may clarify questions.
Handreichung Change From

The Change Form is used to display changes in your study planning in relation to the Learning Agreement.
Please send this one month after arrival by e-mail to the REIFF International Office.
Students who study abroad for two semesters must submit a Change Form within 4 weeks of the start of the 2nd semester if there are further changes.
The total credits presented in the Learning Agreement and Change Form must match the credits of the Transcript of Records awarded to you by the host university at the end of the academic year and serve as a basis for your recognition.

 

After the stay abroad

Experience Report Please submit a Experience Report per mail with your recognition documents to us.
Recognition If you wish to have your academic achievements recognised as an additional or integrative achievement, the application for recognition of the achievements achieved abroad must be submitted as soon as possible after receiving the Transcript of Records from the host university, but no later than 6 weeks after the end of the study period abroad. The original recognition forms must be submitted.

Transcript of Records You must have your original Transcripts of Records with us at the REIFF International Office so that we can make a scan and a copy. The original will then be returned to you.
Certificate of Study Period abroad We require a certificate from the host university confirming the duration of your stay abroad. The original document must be presented to the REIFF International Office once. As soon as we have made a scan and a copy, the original will be returned to you.
Recognition "Zusätzliche Leistungen" with the addition "with International Honors" For the addition "with International Honors", further documents must be submitted in order to recognise the additional services provided abroad.
