International hybrid Conference

 

 

The Chair of Architectural History, in collaboration with Marcus van der Meulen (Ghent), is organizing the international conference, funded by the DFG, on September 25th and 26th, 2023

Reconstruction of Religious Buildings in 20th and 21st Century Europe - Monuments, Heritage, Identity

Speakers from the fields of architectural and art history, architecture, and monument conservation from Germany, Belgium, France, Estonia, Lithuania, Sweden, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Bosnia-Herzegovina, and Ukraine will discuss the similarities and differences in the approach to reconstructing historic religious buildings in Europe from 1918 to the present.

The conference will take place in the Library of Architectural History but will also be broadcasted in a hybrid format. All information can be found on the conference website and on the website of the Chair of Architectural History.
